2011: This slide-belt is an addiction. My husband won’t wear any other belts, my sons — ditto that. My oldest son bought one while serving his mission in Moldova. He thought they were so cool, all his mission companions got one too. After his mission he realized he couldn’t get another one. That’s how he got the idea to find a manufacturer and sell them. Once he got back to BYU he entered the business entrepreneur competition and since then, it’s taken off.

The belts have no holes. The first design used a ratchet system of adjustment. But a new patent-pending system that allows for a perfect micro-adjustment and easier use is now on sale. If you’re at the airport, you can slip the buckle part off, leaving the leather still in the belt loops. It’s far better than the ratchet type you will see out there. This is the next step up. In case you are wondering, the ratchet type is the one that was on Shark Tank. They are my son’s cousins who secretly copied his business.

Brig designed this new buckle, found a source to make it and now sells them on-line. Quality control is taken to the highest level because my daughter-in-law is just that kind of meticulous personality. They are just getting ready to launch at kickstarter.

Any men in your family, or a son going on a mission — check-out the belt, my men won’t go back to the traditional belt with holes.  Dennis Prager said, “why poke holes in a perfectly good piece of leather?”

Check out the new full grain leather — it’s really nice.

Here’s the site: SlideBelts or get them with Prime Shipping at Amazon.com. The new buckles come without the name “Erik Blaire.”
