The swimsuit has certainly evolved and so have women’s figures. These photos show that women were not so skinny. There were fewer Barbie Doll figures back in the 20s to the 60s. I can’t understand the shoes and stockings though. The Victorian age was full figure and full coverage. In the 20s there came some changes.
In the 60s, we always had to wear a “bathing cap” in the pool. those were hideous and very uncomfortable. Remember the chin strap? They were rubber too — like a bathtub mat — same material. But I had my share of two-pieces and bikinis and always a one-piece for swim team.
