Beards seem to be quite the craze. And my husband is growing it out. But an untamed beard is not my favorite. That’s why I decided to mix up some beard balm and make it in a bar for easier application. Use it like you would a bar of soap — not with water, but after bathing, towel dry your beard, and then warm the beeswax beard balm bar in your hands and then smooth your hands over your beard. Or, my husband says he just smooths the bar over his beard. Keep those beard hairs in line.
I love the smell of it — the first time I made this I didn’t use any scent, I just let the smell of the beeswax come through. I also used shea butter, which is great for your hair and skin. If you want an essential oil, try any scent that you like — lavender, citrus, lemongrass, mint, cedar. My second batch, I used essential oil of lime and essential oil of cedar — experiment with the scents and find what you prefer.
